can't get onto server

i don't exactly no where this should go in the forums since I'm fairly new. but i can't get on to the server. i got n yesterday with no problem but today it won't let me. does it have to do with the 1.2 update? i updated my java but it says "Internal exception: java.net.socketTimeoutException: Read timed out". i updated to 1.2. would that be the problem?

I also updated to Minecraft 1.2 and now It says I can't connect because it's taking too long to log in?

this is because DKcraft is on a 1.1 server. i didn't no updating would update all just my single player world. now were stuck and i need a way to downgrade which i haven't yet figured out

You need to find a web site where you can download the 1.1 .jar file.
I dont have an URL unfortunatelly.
But the server will probably upgrade as soon as possible : )

Okeii.
I dont have a Mac, and I dont know very much about Macs, so you have to ask somebody else.
But here is a tutorial of how you can do it. Follow the URL and download the file.

1. Type %appdata% into the start menu
2. Open .minecraft folder
3. Open the bin folder
4. Delete the current Minecraft.jar file (or put it on your desktop)
5. Paste in the Minecraft 1.1 jar file
6. Done
7. Enjoy the servers which will be pretty empty!

this really sucks iv tried that. but that downgrade is for window users. and deekay already said he's not upgrading the server.

He is gonna upgrade the server, but not reset the map because it's only 4 months old. : ) So dw

I did update to 1.2 early today. But I had to revert back to 1.1 due to none of the plugins working.
Unless you can find a mac .jar download for 1.1, i'm afraid you wont be able to get on, until I update the server to 1.2.

okay so my minecraft is saying there is another update. shud i do that update? will it change or still be 1.2?

The new update is 1.2.2 and its just a bug fix for 1.2.
